Etisalat Nigeria has introduced special roaming rates for other West African countries. Nigeria and five other West African countries now stand the chance to benefit from the special roaming rate on the Etisalat network.
Tagged as the ‘Easy Pass’, the service enables subscribers who roam in countries where Moov networks are available to make and receive calls, as well as send and receive SMS, at a uniform discounted rate.
The Easy Pass service will also give subscribers a low call rate to call Nigeria, at N40 a minute.
Currently accessible in six countries, including Benin Republic, Togo, Niger, Gabon, Central African Republic and Cote d’Ivoire, the Easy Pass is available to prepaid and postpaid subscribers on the Etisalat Network. Customers can also recharge while roaming in the six countries by using their normal Etisalat recharge cards.
In a statement, the Chief Commercial Officer, Etisalat Nigeria, Mr. Wael Ammar, explained that, “Easy Pass is available by default. Our prepaid and post-paid subscribers simply need to switch on their devices upon arrival at any of the countries participating in the Easy Pass service and select the Moov network.”
He added that prepaid subscribers who intended to use their Etisalat numbers, while in any of the six West African countries that had the Moov network could easily recharge while roaming by using their normal Etisalat recharge cards. Post-paid subscribers would need to visit any of the Etisalat Experience Centres to enable the roaming service if it was not already enabled..
Etisalat Nigeria previously introduced prepaid roaming services in nine countries.
